Join us for good times and great coffee! We’re hosting a free cupping event with Equation Coffee on Wednesday, October 4th from 8:00am to 1:00pm. 

Gearing up for New York Coffee Festival? Stop by our training lab in Long Island City for a guided tasting (and light competition) hosted by Equation Coffee. Equation is a sustainability-focused coffee import/export company with a goal of enriching soils used for agriculture, rather than depleting them with practices like monoculture farming. They offer full price transparency in every step of the production process.

Welcomes and Introductions

Mingle with coffee lovers and sample some of the best-sourced coffees from South America.

Cupping Adventure

Go on on a cupping adventure as Equation guides attendees through an exploration of coffees from Mexico, Colombia, El Salvador, and Panama.

The Flavourist’s Quest

This is a series of interactive challenges and sensory games designed to challenge your palate, enhance your sensory perception, and deepen your understanding of Equation coffees. There will be a guided triangulation cupping activity, which is the basis for the World Cup Tasters competition.

Master of Taste

As the event culminates, we will bestow the “Master of Taste” award to the cupper who demonstrates exceptional skill, creativity, and innovation throughout the event. This prestigious accolade celebrates the dedication and artistry that defines the specialty coffee community, and winners will receive prizes and goodies!

Master of Taste is free to attend with an RSVP; please register so we have an accurate headcount. This event will take place at our training lab in Long Island City.
