Class Questions

Where are classes held?2022-04-14T23:38:59-04:00
Should I take a workshop or an accredited SCA class?2022-04-04T23:13:31-04:00

This depends on whether or not you want your class to end in professional certification. Most of our SCA or CQI courses are considered professional classes, take place over at least one full day, and end with written and/or practical exams. On the other hand, our workshops take place over a few hours, are a little less rigorous, and are intended for beginners and enthusiasts.

If they desire, non-professional students can take our SCA classes without having to participate in exams or receive accreditation. SCA Introduction to Coffee is designed for everyone, and SCA Foundation classes are open to beginners at every experience level.

I need to reschedule or cancel my reservation. What do I do?2022-04-16T15:52:21-04:00

Please notify us via email as soon as possible. You can reach out to us at class@coffeeprojectny.com.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to highly limited seating and the cost of producing each class, we kindly ask that if you need to change or cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. While we don’t offer refunds for classes, we will accommodate changes based on when you reach out to us and how much advance notice is given before the date of the reservation.

  • Over 4 weeks notice: free rescheduling or credit of equal value toward any class
  • Under 4 weeks notice: $50 rescheduling fee or credit of original value minus $50
  • Under 72 hours notice: 50% rescheduling fee or credit of 50% of original class value
  • Under 24 hours notice: no credit available

Please purchase classes carefully. Thank you for understanding.

How many students are allowed in each class?2022-04-04T15:29:27-04:00

All of our in-person classes are limited to 8 students per class. Other classes, like our Coffee Entrepreneurship class, have a lower maximum capacity to ensure a higher level of one-on-one instruction.

Do you offer gift cards for classes?2022-02-04T17:54:30-05:00

Yes. We happily provide gift vouchers for classes! Please reach out to us at class@coffeeprojectny.com and we will accommodate you.

Do you offer financial assistance or scholarships for students?2022-04-22T14:00:54-04:00

Yes. We offer some scholarships, but they are seasonal and inconsistent. The best way to keep up-to-date with any scholarship offerings is to follow us on Instagram.
