We accept all major credit card options without any minimum requirement. We take American Express, Visa, Master Card, and Samsung and Apple Pay.

Do you accept reservations?2022-02-02T18:34:42-05:00

We are a casual establishment with a limited table service, and therefore we do not take reservations.

Do you have Wifi?2022-02-02T18:39:35-05:00

Yes. On weekdays, depending on the location, we have designated areas for people to use their laptops. On weekends & federal holidays, depending on the location, we have a no laptop/tablet policy, and we are strict about this rule. Sharing tables is highly encouraged–make some new friends!

We proudly serve locally-sourced, organic, vegan, and/or gluten-free baked goods. Our pastry menu revolves based on availability–be sure to visit early in the morning for the biggest selection!

Yes. We have oat, almond and soy, sweetened, sometimes vanilla, sometimes original, depending on what’s available in the market. Don’t be afraid to ask our baristas about what’s available when you visit!

Yes – due to customer demand, we have added a Deconstructed Latte with Oat Milk option to our coffee flight menu. Vegans rejoice!

Class Questions

Where are classes held?2022-04-14T23:38:59-04:00
Should I take a workshop or an accredited SCA class?2022-04-04T23:13:31-04:00

This depends on whether or not you want your class to end in professional certification. Most of our SCA or CQI courses are considered professional classes, take place over at least one full day, and end with written and/or practical exams. On the other hand, our workshops take place over a few hours, are a little less rigorous, and are intended for beginners and enthusiasts.

If they desire, non-professional students can take our SCA classes without having to participate in exams or receive accreditation. SCA Introduction to Coffee is designed for everyone, and SCA Foundation classes are open to beginners at every experience level.

I need to reschedule or cancel my reservation. What do I do?2022-04-16T15:52:21-04:00

Please notify us via email as soon as possible. You can reach out to us at class@coffeeprojectny.com.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to highly limited seating and the cost of producing each class, we kindly ask that if you need to change or cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. While we don’t offer refunds for classes, we will accommodate changes based on when you reach out to us and how much advance notice is given before the date of the reservation.

  • Over 4 weeks notice: free rescheduling or credit of equal value toward any class
  • Under 4 weeks notice: $50 rescheduling fee or credit of original value minus $50
  • Under 72 hours notice: 50% rescheduling fee or credit of 50% of original class value
  • Under 24 hours notice: no credit available

Please purchase classes carefully. Thank you for understanding.

How many students are allowed in each class?2022-04-04T15:29:27-04:00

All of our in-person classes are limited to 8 students per class. Other classes, like our Coffee Entrepreneurship class, have a lower maximum capacity to ensure a higher level of one-on-one instruction.

Do you offer gift cards for classes?2022-02-04T17:54:30-05:00

Yes. We happily provide gift vouchers for classes! Please reach out to us at class@coffeeprojectny.com and we will accommodate you.

Do you offer financial assistance or scholarships for students?2022-04-22T14:00:54-04:00

Yes. We offer some scholarships, but they are seasonal and inconsistent. The best way to keep up-to-date with any scholarship offerings is to follow us on Instagram.

Do you have any safeguards or protocols in place for COVID-19?2022-04-16T15:54:47-04:00

With the safety and health of our students and their communities in mind, Coffee Project NY requires proof of vaccination or documentation of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the day of our class.

For proof of vaccination, we accept (alongside photo ID):

  • CDC-issued Vaccination Cards

  • NYC Vaccination Record
  • NYC Covid Safe App with photos of your records
  • A government-issued record from outside the U.S.

The following are COVID Rapid Test sites near our Long Island City facility:
