This class is meant for students who have graduated from Q Cupping Essentials or have equivalent coffee tasting experience. This six-day course and exam result in a Q Arabica Grader certification from the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI). This course is for well-trained coffee tasters who want to calibrate their palate vocabulary to a universal CQI standard. This course is rigorous and consequently some students find it difficult to pass all exam portions the first time through. The final day will allow participants to retake certain tests as needed in hopes of completing the certification.
Q Arabica Certification consists of three days of review/instruction and three days of exams that test a student’s ability to accurately evaluate coffee. This course uses up-to-date standards of knowledge, experience, and CQI protocols, and includes 19 exams in nine modules.
