DESCRIPTION

Coffee Entrepreneurship is a three-day master class in launching a successful coffee shop. This class is for determined entrepreneurs, shop owners, investors, managers, and aspiring baristas. No prior experience is required. Students will learn detailed coffee shop operation, management, sourcing, marketing, hands-on barista training, and a step-by-step plan of action designed to teach you how to run a successful coffee business.

MORE INFORMATION

This class is being offered online for two days and in-person for one day. It has remote learning components and requires an internet-connected device with a microphone (this includes most recent models of computers, tablets).

The final day will take place at our Academy in Long Island City. If you are interested in participating remotely for the final day, please reach out to us at class@coffeeprojectny.com.

Chi Sum Ngai is Coffee Project NY’s co-founder, Head Roaster, and Green Coffee Buyer. She is a certified AST (Authorized SCA Trainer) and Q Arabica Grader. She speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Malay, and she loves pugs.

This is an entry-level workshop designed for beginners and enthusiasts with minimal prior knowledge or practical training in the subject.

Due to highly limited seating and the cost of producing each class, we kindly ask that if you need to change or cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. While we don’t offer refunds for classes, we will accommodate changes based on when you reach out to us and how much advance notice is given before the date of the reservation.

  • Over 4 weeks notice: free rescheduling or credit of equal value toward any class
  • Under 4 weeks notice: $50 rescheduling fee or credit of original value minus $50
  • Under 72 hours notice: 50% rescheduling fee or credit of 50% of original class value
  • Under 24 hours notice: no credit available

With the safety and health of our students and their communities in mind, Coffee Project NY requires proof of vaccination or documentation of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of the day of our class.

For proof of vaccination, we accept (alongside photo ID):

  • NYC Covid Safe App with photos of your records
  • A government-issued record from outside the U.S.
